What Is On Your Mouse Mat? by xboxboy is asking us what our mouse mats are like. Well, if you read down the page, or might have to turn the page a couple of times, you will find my response. Yes, that is me with red hair, glasses and the baby on my lap.
This particular discussion is just an example of the creativeness that can be found on mylot. These discussions are the ones that I respond to without a second thought. Short and simple, but very effective.

The online petition my partner has set up against the whale slaughter of the Japanese. If you want the full story on this petition, then visit 1000 Blog Protest. Please join in and lets make it aware that what is going on is going to cost us our precious giants of the sea.
The Japanese government intends to cull 1000 whales this year, including endangered and vulnerable species. This is all to be done in the name of research, but why so many? 90% of the information they need comes from the blood samples of these majestic creatures, the other 10% comes from physical measurements. There does not need to be anymore damage done than a needle prick or two and maybe obstructing their paths and movements for other measurements.
The photo that is sparking the outrage can be seen on the site above, and is of a mother and calf. Minke whales are a threatened species, and it is irresponsible to cull females and the young. They are the breeding stock and future of the species. Slaughtering them means that the species is under even greater threat of extinction, and sooner than would be natural.
