Don’t worry, I will be back to updating this site soon… perhaps after I have managed to find the stuff I want to use for the post, uploaded them and then written the posts. Could take a while, so please don’t hold your breath!

Don’t worry, I will be back to updating this site soon… perhaps after I have managed to find the stuff I want to use for the post, uploaded them and then written the posts. Could take a while, so please don’t hold your breath!
Over the last week or so, I have made fantastic headway on my current Pooh Bear project. Alas, still no photos to add to an update, but I will get one soon (maybe once the camera or phone is charged) and add an update.
I’m really, really pleased with how much work I have been able to do, in fact, so pleased, I think I might spend tonight on the couch keeping the momentum going.
My other projects in the ‘do first’ box have all been hemmed to prevent the edges from fraying, a process that was tedious and painful on the fingers. At least now I don’t have to battle stray threads or worry about the fabric whittling away and there not being enough for the picture.
Well, I best get this published and head off to finish the night time routine and then relax with my cross stitch on the couch – after putting my phone on charge of course!
Is it any wonder it can take a while for me to finish a project when I can be put off simply by having to spend the night unpicking my hard work? Probably not.
I have been working on my current project, Splashy Days, stitching along at a million miles per hour and making great progress. Only problem is, I should be much further along than I actually am because I have spent just as much time unpicking as I have stitching.
The other night, I had miscounted somewhere along the way, and I had to unpick about 2 hours worth of work to fix the problem. It is fixed now, but because I get peeved really quickly, I am now thinking this one will be put back in the cupboard for now, and I will work on something else for a while.
Yes, odd way to get a project done, but once I have cooled off a bit, I can pick them up afresh and keep going, until the next lot of mistakes…
Once I have recharged my camera, I will put up a proper update, as I reckon I have almost doubled the amount of work that has already been done, so keep an eye out for that.
Happy stitching to you all.

I love my cross stitch, but I think I have mentioned that already.
This is my newest project:

As you can probably tell, it is another Pooh Bear and Friends. Not that that’s much of a surprise!
This is about 7 hours work in total so far, though not all at once, but over several days.
I’ll keep adding updates on my progress, so you can share in the journey of creation.
Ha, let’s see if I can get this working first time! Last time I did an rss feed to minti, it took a while to get it working because I hadn’t followed the directions properly, but all I have to add now is:Arna.minti.com and then just wait a few days to see if it works.
This post will be deleted once the rss is confirmed and I’m happy that it actually works.
Here are the first 2 completely finished cross stitches that I have. Both were stitched lovingly by me, taking up many hours of sleep time!
Above: Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. This is framed and hanging in my own home.
Below: Petter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny. This is also framed and hanging in our home.
Cross stitch is a hobby I have had for over 16 years now, and I enjoy it just as much now as I did way back when I first started.
Because I do so much, and my main site is getting rather clogged and confused, I’ve created this site to better keep my cross stitch world a bit more organised.
I will share my works in progress, taking photos before each stitching session. I will also include finished stitched items and items that are used in other projects or framed.
I also intend to share patterns I have created, patterns I have used and entered onto a program to use in the future and items I might have for sale. And, if there are other people out there who would like to show their stuff off, I’ll be more than obliging.
Well, for a first post, I think that is enough. It is going to take a while to get things going here, but I will do it slowly and surely.
